YouTube++ is a browser extension for YouTube. The project is open source and you can find it on GitHub. The goal of the extension is to help YouTubers rank their videos higher using SEO tactics for the YouTube search algorithm. The extension will display the tags of the video you are watching under the video, as well as poll YouTube’s API for each search term. It will then display at what rank your video appears as a result for each tag. For example, if you rank as the first video when someone searches “How to cook steak” and you have the same tag on your video, it will show you that your video ranks as #1 for that search term. This is important data that YouTube does not give you, but it allows users with a simple understanding of SEO to pick their target keywords and achieve a high rank for them more often.
